Located in the valley of Santa
Clara, MG .
It
is one of the highest waterfalls in the region of
Visconde de Mauá, where you can enjoy the view and take
a dive in the natural swimming pool .
The valley of
Santa Clara has its entry to 300 m before the vilaage of
Maromba, just across a bridge of wood . |

The waterfall has easy access to who is in
Maromba , or on the valley of Santa Clara , from there
you can even go walking , to whom is in Maringá is better to go by car (5
km). |

It is a good place to walk, ride a bicycle
and ride a horse , in fact thera is point where you can rent a horse.
In Santa Clara you will also find a lot of natural
pools. |

Unlike in other mountain regions well
known, such as Monte Verde in Campos do Jordao, the
region of Visconde de Mauá is rich in rivers, waterfalls
and natural pools with crystal clear waters .
Even ,
many waterfalls have been analysed by the Institute
Adolfo Lutz (USP) and catalogued as mineral water . |

easy.
Just take a walk above
the town of Maromba and thr valleys of Santa Clara and
Alcantilado and you will find
yours.

This waterfall is a natural sliding
waterfall , where you can go sliding down to a natural
swimming pool of crystalline water.
You need more courage than agility to face this
challenge , but when you see people going down , the fear
goes away and be ready, çause it's your
turn ! |

By car it is easy to get there , because the main
road in the region of Visconde de Mauá (
Maromba Street ) ends up it.
There are a parking
lot close to the spot ,
two bars , restaurants and two hostels .
Besides the waterfall , you will find more
natural pools .
This waterfall is very famous and
has been in movies , comercilas and novel from Brazil .
Getting
over there, you
will see why. |

The poção has 7m
deep and reserve a place for jumping from a stone with 8 m
high.
If
this is the first time it is always recommended to take a dive
before jump in , the river is alive and
changes over time. |

located 1 km above the village of Maromba on the path to the waterfall
Escorrega, easy to reach and enter. |

TOCA DA RAPOSA WATERFALLS

options in the valley of Santa Clara who must enter the
roadmap are : the waterfalls Toca da Raposa , and two
restaurants wher you can get a delicious trout . |

|
The waterfalls of Alcantilado stay on a
farm in the valley of Alcantilado.
There are several
waterfalls and natural pools.

It is one of
the largest natural pools in the region.
By car, get
in the Valley of the Pavão , then you will
pass through some farms, ending in the path of
Marimbondo, where car can not go through anymore .
From there,
take a trail for 40 min.

To get the Veú da Noiva waterfall, just
go over the Maromba Village , after passing the village in
order to Waterfall of Escorrega turn at the first left ,

Located in the
cliffs of the Serra da Mantiqueira.
To reach
there, go by car close to the cliff and after go
walking through a trail , it takes 3 hours to reach the
top .
It is necessary guide, ropes and physical
preparation, you will be at 2000 m

|
The top of the
Agulhas Negras is located 2,787 m above sea level in the
Itatiaia National Park. Hike to the peak, from
Maromba, it is an adventure for at least two
days.
Who qualifies,
must be well prepared physically, and has a good guide.
The guide Paquinha (photo below) is a
specialist in this adventure. |
